The solo sessions are finally over. On Thursday, Mario Gomez finally returned to full VfB team training, having recovered from a recent muscle sinew tear.
The comeback means that the club’s top scorer could well make an appearance this Sunday in the south German derby against FC Bayern Munich (Allianz Arena 5pm kick-off).
