Lavezzi: Happy at Napoli
Ezequiel Lavezzi insists he has no desire to leave Napoli, scuppering Chelsea’s plans for a New Year approach.
The Argentinean striker has been linked with a move to England for some time, with the Blues believed to be among a host of clubs keen to acquire his services.
However, the 23-year-old has reiterated that his intention remains to stay in Italy for the foreseeable future.
“I am happy at Napoli,” said Lavezzi. “I like the city of Naples and the team.
“I will remain here, it’s better here than going to England.”
Lavezzi is contracted to Napoli until 2013, but having shone in Serie A this season he concedes that any decision regarding his future rests in the hands of the club.
“My future depends on the club,” he added. “I have a contract and I insist I am very happy here.”
