The ever-improving Villans suffered a little dip in form just before the 2-0 win over the Gunners last week.

Now, Northern Irish boss Martin O’Neill has called for his side to keep the momentum going and really display their top-four credentials.

The boss said: “Arsenal? The result allied to the performance was really terrific.

“It was full of really good football and has certainly given a big boost of confidence to the players.

“We were so brave, so strong and so attack-minded. It was exhilarating.

“Now it’s United. What do they do after the Arsenal win? They just have to take it on again…that will be very important.”

Villa will go two points clear of United should they beat them at home on Saturday.
