Milito: Not looking to move
Diego Milito insists he is happy to stay at Genoa after the Italian club rejected an approach from Real Madrid.
Following a season-ending injury to Ruud van Nistelrooy, Real are drawing up a list of possible replacements to sign in January.
Argentine striker Milito has been linked with a return to Spanish football just months after leaving Real Zaragoza for a second spell with Genoa.
Earlier this week, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi confirmed Real had made an enquiry for Milito, who was linked with Tottenham in the summer.
Preziosi stated his intention to keep hold of Milito and the forward now says he is not looking to secure a winter move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I’m happy at Genoa,” the 29-year-old told Efe Radio.
“Obviously it’s a pleasure to be on the list of a club like Real Madrid, but I can say nothing because I don’t know if it’s a real thing or not.
“We will see what happens further down the line, but there has to be something concrete before I sit down at a table and negotiate.”
