Milan - No Becks extension

Beckham: Not staying at Milan

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has stressed that David Beckham will return to Los Angeles Galaxy in March.

Beckham will join the Serie A giants on loan in early January in a bid to maintain his fitness but there has been speculation that he could stay for a longer spell.

Pier Silvio, the son of club owner Silvio Berlusconi, is among those to have expressed a wish to keep Beckham.

Beckham’s representatives stated last week that no discussions had taken place to extend his loan agreement and Galliani has now insisted the midfielder will spend just two months in Italy.

“I want to make clear that the club does not have any future projects for him (Beckham),” said Galliani.

“All we know is that he will come to Dubai (winter break) and then he will return to Galaxy in March, besides that nothing else.”

Ancelotti

Galliani has also dismissed reports suggesting that Carlo Ancelotti could step down as Milan boss before the next World Cup.

Ancelotti recently spoke of his desire to manage at international level, while he has been linked with Ivory Coast.

However, Galliani told the Italian press: “I don’t think our relationship with Ancelotti will end in 2010.

Carlo enjoys saying these things, but I think our deal will continue. It didn’t break after Istanbul (losing the 2005 UEFA Champions League final), I don’t think it could be broken for other reasons.”
