Shevchenko: Real link
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has rubbished speculation that Andriy Shevchenko is set to join Real Madrid in January.
Primera Liga champions Real are looking for attacking reinforcements following the long-term knee injury sustained by star striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Juventus hit-man Amauri, Inter Milan ace Hernan Crespo and Lyon’s Karim Benzema have also been linked with a move to the Bernabeu as under-fire manager Bernd Schuster attempts to reinforce his forward line.
But Galliani insists Shevchenko - who returned to Milan from Chelsea in the summer - will not be moving to Spain as a replacement for Van Nistelrooy.
“Technically the transfer wouldn’t be impossible because a player can move twice in one season,” he told Datasport.it.
“However, Shevchenko will not be leaving. He is untouchable and he will keep playing for us.”
