Tottenham are yet to lose under Harry Redknapp, and their impressive performance against a static Dinamo side showed that they have exorcised the sorry form that former boss Juande Ramos administered.
Darren Bent scored a hat-trick and Tom Huddlestone in particular put in a fine display, protecting his back four with ease, pinging balls forward to begin play, and even scored a superb goal.
Redknapp is pleased with the progression, and told the Northern Echo: “It’s a terrific return getting nine goals and hopefully he can keep going,” he said, regarding Darren Bent’s tally.
“He’s done well. This is the first time I’ve worked with him, he has a good attitude and works hard at his game.
“I think we have three strikers who can do the job. There’s competition for places up front. Darren and Roman (Pavlyuchenko) are both scoring goals and Fraizer Campbell showed terrific enthusiasm when he came on.”
Croatian Luka Modric faced his former side, and Redknapp was pleased with his work: “Modric is a fantastic footballer that you have to play.
“People thought he wouldn’t be strong but he’s stronger than I thought he was. He’s not a weakling, he challenges for balls. He is a terrific player.”
