Capello endorses Becks switch

Capello with Beckham

Fabio Capello believes AC Milan will be making a ‘great acquisition’ if they land David Beckham on loan from LA Galaxy.

The England manager famously dropped Beckham while the pair were at Real Madrid after it was confirmed the former Manchester United was leaving La Liga for MLS.

However, following a dip in form by Real and Beckham’s professionalism, Capello recalled the vastly-experienced midfielder, something he did again after being named Three Lions boss.

Beckham is now a regular fixture in Capello’s England get-togethers and despite being the wrong side of 30, the Italian believes AC should do all they can to land the midfielder.

Great acquisition

“If Milan sign him they will make a great acquisition,” stated Capello.

“He is a very focused lad,” he added. “He is a professional.

“When I left him out of the team in Madrid because he had signed the contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy, he continued to come to the pitch to train and I put him back in the team.”
