Mexes: No swap
AC Milan have vigorously denied speculation that they are in talks to bring Roma’s Philippe Mexes to the San Siro in a possible swap deal.
Several Italian newspapers claim Milan would exchange international full-backs Daniele Bonera of Italy and Slovakia’s Marek Jankulovski for Mexes.
But a statement from Milan on Tuesday denied such a swap is being mooted for the France international.
“The news given in several newspapers, in which it was claimed Mexes would come to Milan in exchange for Bonera and Jankulovski, is totally false,” said the statement.
Mexes is currently serving a three-match ban for insulting a referee after he was sent off during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Siena on 5th October.
