Andrade: Retirement fears
Juventus fear defender Jorge Andrade’s career may be over as he struggles to recover from a serious knee injury.
The 30-year-old Portugal international underwent surgery in pre-season after breaking his left kneecap for the second time in a year.
The former Porto and Deportivo La Coruna man suffered the initial injury at the start of last season after just four games for Juve.
Andrade then had two operations on the knee, forcing him to miss the rest of last term, before suffering a relapse in July during pre-season training.
Juve have now requested the termination of his contract pending a medical examination by the Italian league, the club said in a statement to the Italian stock exchange on Wednesday.
