Buffon: Injury concern
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is hoping Gianluigi Buffon has not suffered a serious injury.
The Turin club are already reeling from the news that David Trezeguet is out for four months after electing to undergo knee surgery.
Buffon provided Juve with a further injury scare on Sunday after coming off at half-time in the 1-0 win over Cagliari.
The goalkeeper was replaced by Alex Manninger and Ranieri is awaiting the outcome of tests on Buffon’s muscle injury.
“The doctors will evaluate Buffon on Monday,” Ranieri told Sky Italia.
“We hope it won’t be something worrying.
“We replaced him at the end of the first half to make sure we did not provoke any further troubles.”
