Trezeguet blow for Juve

Trezeguet: Knee injury

Juventus striker David Trezeguet is facing at least two months on the sidelines after being told he requires surgery on his knee injury.

The Frenchman has undergone tests after aggravating an injury in his right kneecap hamstring in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League victory over Zenit St Petersburg.

And the analysis has identified that the 30-year-old requires corrective surgery.

A statement on Juventus’ official website said: “The test showed that his (Trezeguet’s) hamstring will need to be operated on again.”

It has yet to be decided when Trezeguet will go under the knife, with Juventus set to make a further announcement next week.
