Camoranesi extends Juve deal

Camoranesi: Happy with deal

Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi has signed a contract extension to stay with the club until 2011.

Camoranesi has become a key member of the Juventus squad since joining from Verona six years ago.

A new deal has been in the pipeline for several months after the Serie A giants admitted in March that Camoranesi was in line for an extension.

The Argentine-born 31-year-old is happy to have been rewarded by the Old Lady and hopes for more success in the coming years.

“Today is an important day from a human and professional point of view,” Camoranesi told the club’s official website.

“I arrived in Turin in the summer of 2002 and am honoured to be able to wear this jersey for nine seasons.

“It is not easy to play at the highest level for so long and I am sure that soon we’ll have great satisfaction.”
