Genoa eye Davids and Gravesen

Davids: Italian return?

Genoa are holding talks with Edgar Davids and Thomas Gravesen.

Dutch legend Davids is a free agent after quitting Ajax earlier this summer.

He has already trained with Los Angeles Glaxay and AZ Alkmaar, but he could now be in line for a return to Serie A where he enjoyed huge success during his career.

In total, Davids spent nine years in Italy playingfor AC Milan, Inter Milan and most notably Juventus.

Now he is considering returning to Italy with Genoa, who are looking to exploit the free agent market outside the transfer window.

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is also understood to have held talks with Gravesen.

Like Davids, 32-year-old Gravesen is available for nothing after he departed Scottish champions Celtic this summer.
