VfL Bochum have used the international break for a test match against Dutch top-flight club De Graafschap Doetinchem.

Marcel Koller's side were without seven internationals currently on international duty, but they still managed to pull off their first win in 2008/09.

Freier opener

Paul Freier opened the scoring with just three minutes gone.

Geert den Ouden equalised for the Dutch side 14 minutes from time, but substitute Roman Prokoph headed the winning goal for Bochum six minutes later.
