Former Bayern goalkeeper Oliver Kahn isn't surprised that FC Bayern have had a difficult start into the 2008/09 Bundesliga season.

“It was obvious that the start would be difficult. Preparations are never ideal following World Cups or European championships. Additionally players such as Luca Toni and Franck Ribery were injured”, Kahn said in Munich on Monday.

“Back where they belong in October”

The former goalkeeper reckons that Bayern will need one or two months “before everything fits together again and everything works.”

His prognosis: “FC Bayern will be back where they belong at the beginning of October.” For Kahn that surely means: on top of the standings.

One last clean sheet for Kahn
