Senderos: On the move

Philippe Senderos has completed his season-long loan move to AC Milan from Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sanctioned the Swiss international’s departure as he is confident his squad is well stocked with central defenders.

The surprise acquisition of Mikael Silvestre has further bolstered Wenger’s defensive options, with Milan having moved quickly to snap up the surplus to requirements Senderos.

Having undergone a medical in Italy on Tuesday, the 23-year-old has now completed all the relevant paperwork.

Wenger was happy to see him leave on a temporary basis but insists Senderos could yet still have a future at Emirates Stadium.
