Inler: Not moving yet
Gokhan Inler has decided to stay at Udinese, with the midfielder’s agent saying it is ‘too early’ to join Arsenal.
Switzerland international Inler had been strongly linked with a move to Emirates Stadium after impressing for Udinese.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for a new central midfielder and did not rule out a move for Inler.
However, Inler has opted to spend another season with Udinese, with reports suggesting he will extend his contract.
The player’s agent Dino Lamberti believes it is a year too soon for Inler to be making the move to the Premier League.
“We have decided that Inler remains in Udinese,” Lamberti told Blick newspaper.
“Any player would want to play for Arsenal, of course, but for Inler this may be perhaps a little early. Maybe a season too early.”
