Sheva eager to find form

Shevchenko: Relishing challenge

Andriy Shevchenko is looking forward to a fresh start after returning to AC Milan.

The Ukrainian striker completed a move to the San Siro on Monday to end a difficult two-year association with Chelsea.

He is now focusing on the challenge ahead as he aims to rediscover the sort of form that made him one of the world’s most feared opponents during his first spell at Milan.

Shevchenko scored just nine Premier League goals for Chelsea and he admits he would love to make a fast start for Milan.

“Now I have returned home, we will not look back anymore but forwards,” Shevchenko told the Milan Channel.

“I will give anything to score immediately.

“I want to start again. I hope that the injuries I had in recent seasons won’t be repeated, but here I have everything to do well and it depends only on me.”

Shevchenko is relishing the chance to play against fierce rivals Inter Milan once again, with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho now in charge of the Nerazzurri

He said: “I always felt really good whenever that match happened, I hope that it can still be like that.”
