Shevchenko: Delighted with move

Andriy Shevchenko admitted he was “really happy” after ending his Chelsea experience with a move back to AC Milan.

Milan have finally agreed a deal with the Blues to re-sign Shevchenko after months of speculation linking him with a move back to the San Siro.

Shevchenko is due to undergo a medical on Monday before finalising the move and the Ukrainian is excited at the prospect of returning to the Rossoneri.

“I’m happy,” Shevchenko told the club’s official website.

“I have hoped for a return for a while and yesterday I began to believe that this deal could end well.

“For me it is as if I’ve won the Champions League.

“There were some complications, but now that everything is resolved I am really happy.”
