Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have achieved a respectable result in a test match against Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Eintracht drew 1-1 with the Spanish champions, 48 years after a 7-3 defeat in Glasgow in the 1960 European Cup final.
50,800 fans in the sold out Commerzbank-Arena saw Eintracht off to a flying start when new signing Habib Bellaid slotted home after Faton Toski's seventh-minute free-kick.
Nikolov outstanding
Real pressed for the equaliser afterwards, and Frankfurt keeper Oka Nikolov had to be at his best to deny Sergio Ramos (14/17/59), Mahamadou Diarra (16) and Rafael van der Vaart (23/60).
But Real were rewarded for their efforts and Brazilian Robinho (71) scored a deserved equaliser.
