Fulham held in final friendly

Zamora: Opened the scoring

Fulham rounded off their pre-season preparations with a 2-2 draw against Torino at Craven Cottage.

New signing Andy Johnson was introduced to the home fans before kick-off, but was not involved in the friendly.

Roy Hodgson’s side took the lead on 20 minutes when Seol Ki-hyeon pulled the ball back for Bobby Zamora to control and finish.

Mark Schwarzer was forced into a fine save moments later from Aimo Diana’s fierce shot before Fulham grabbed a second goal on 28 minutes.

Enthusiastic work from Seol once again down the left saw the South Korean play the ball into the box for the onrushing Zoltan Gera to dispatch clinically.

Torino came close to pulling a goal back midway through the second half when powerful striker Nicola Amoruso’s header hit the post.

The Serie A club did score 10 minutes from time when substitute Elvis Abbruscato smashed home a fine volley.

And Torino equalised two minutes from the end courtesy of Angelo Ogbonna’s deflected effort following a rapid break downfield.
