Injured FC Bayern players Marcell Jansen and Tim Borowski are on the road to recovery.

New signing Borowski, who joined FCB from Bremen, has almost overcome his inside knee ligament problems.

The 28-year-old is confident of making the squad for the Bundesliga opener against Hamburger SV on Friday.

Jansen needs patience

Jansen is set to miss the HSV match, however. The left back has pain in his right leg and already missed out on the DFB Cup win in Erfurt.

The pain comes from tired muscles in the back, effecting the nerves. “I have to be patient”, Jansen concedes.
