Two days after beating the hosts 2-1, Borussia Dortmund came off second best to Tottenham Hotspur in the “final” of the Feyenoord jubilee tournament in Rotterdam.
The 3-0 (1-0) win for the English Premier League side secured them overall victory, coming on top of their opening 2-0 success against Glasgow Celtic.
No lack of effort, but…
In front of a 15,000 crowd in the “De Kuip”, Spurs dominated much of the encounter and were well worth the win secured by goals from Bent (10.) Giovani (55.) and O'Hara (88.). BVB matched the English side for commitment, but were unable to convert any of the chances they carved out for themselves.
