Keane was officially unveiled yesterday as Liverpool?s latest signing after making a dream-fulfilling £19million move from White Hart Lane.

The Irishman spent six seasons with Spurs, scoring 107 goals in 257 appearances and helping create countless others to establish himself as one of the most reliable forwards in England.

Over the last two years the former Internazionale hitman has flourished in partnership with Dimitar Berbatov, who could also leave the Lilywhites in favour of Champions League football at Barcelona or Manchester United.

Many believe Keane?s absence will be a huge blow to Spurs? hopes of pressing for a spot in the top four. If Berbatov were to depart as well, another season of mid-table mediocrity could well be on the cards.

But Modric, signed this summer for £16million from Dinamo Zagreb, is unworried by the situation and is confident that manager Juande Ramos will find suitable replacements.

?I?m not concerned by Keane?s departure,? Modric said in The Sun.

?This team has a great ambition regardless of Robbie Keane leaving. Even if Berbatov leaves I?m sure they will find another great player. This club really has a great future. We have a lot of positive things.

?I agree the team needs great players but I?m also certain that if Berbatov leaves that they will bring in other phenomenal players.

?I hope that Berbatov stays as he is a great player and he means a lot to the team. It is not my area to decide who gets sold. My thing is to play as well as I can possibly can.?
