Arsenal’s new number 8 Samir Nasri admits that he’s keen to adaprt to the Gunners’ style of play, which he hails as the proper way to play football.
Indeed, Arsene Wenger’s men would have won the league before Christmas last term if extra points were awarded for on-pitch entertainment value.
As it was, the Emirates side faded in the latter part of the season as the experience and fight of Manchester United and Chelsea overcame the somewhat green Gunners.
However, Frenchman Nasri has clearly bought into the Arsenal footballing dream, even if he is a tad nervous about his task of adapting to the Premiership.
The recent signing from Marseille told L?Equipe: ?I had a lot of fun watching their games before joining. The Arsenal culture is what football should be about.
?Arsenal made me dream because I love the game and I have a passion for the way they play.?
On the Premier League, he continued: ?I know I’ll have to be consistent. I still need to improve in the air in order to compete physically at this intense level.
?Arsene Wenger told me I’ll be playing on the wing - in a 4-4-2 - because that’s where the playmakers operate.?
21-year-old Nasri’s only real worry, then, is living on his own for the first time. He revealed: ?The club is providing cooking and cleaning for me just now. I must become independent as I’ve always lived with my parents.?
