Gyan: Rennes move
Ghana international Asamoah Gyan has joined Rennes on a four-year contract from Udinese.
The French club announced the capture of Gyan on their official website but did not disclose any details of the deal.
Reports in Italy have indicated that Rennes may have paid in the region of 8million euros (£6.4million).
Gyan went down in the history books in 2006 when he became the first Ghanaian to score a goal at the World Cup finals in Germany.
The 22-year-old forward, who signed for Udinese in 2003, has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.
