Adebayor?s future has been the subject of much debate all summer with the striker flirting with both AC Milan and Barcelona whilst also refusing to rule out staying at the Emirates.

However, it now appears the end may be in sight as Milan and Arsenal look set to sit down and potentially thrash out a deal which will see the Togolese swap London for Milan.

Speaking to Antenna 3 television station, Galliani has been reported as saying: “Arsenal wrote us a letter today in which they have said that they are ready to talk to us about Adebayor.?

The Price Is Right?

AC Milan had previously been reported as saying that Arsenal?s asking price for Adebayor was too high, a factor which looked to have ruled them out of the race for the front man.

Yet, whilst this may still be factor, it appears to be the only one preventing the deal taking place, which Galliani himself acknowledged. The Milan chief said: “There is just one major problem left to overcome - the price of the player, which is going to be high.”

While the price still needs to be negotiated, it appears the player has already expressed his desire to move to Milan which appears to have set the ball rolling. Speaking of the striker?s wishes, Galliani confessed: “He’s said that we’re the club he wants to play for. That is surely a step towards the right direction.”

Adebayor scored 24 league goals for the Gunners last season and manager Arsene Wenger will be reluctant to let the striker leave. However, the Gunners boss has already admitted earlier this week that his club may need to sell the player to help finance their stadium and should AC Milan get close to the Gunners asking price he may have no option but to sanction the sale.
