The 27-year old, who is in Austria and Switzerland with Spain?s Euro 2008 squad, was set to complete a £13.7 million move to Turkey as soon as his international duty came to an end.

It appears, however, that reports of interest from Manchester City, Barcelona and Arsenal has seen the player have a change of heart, with his agent, and girlfriend, confirming as much.

“The move to Fenerbahce has yet to be finalised,” Nuria Bermudez admitted to AS.

“Now we have received some other offers and it is necessary to study the situation.”

The former Barcelona B player was in imperious form for Mallorca last season, scoring 27 league goals as he finished the nation?s top scorer. The Blaugrana have been linked with bringing him back to Camp Nou as they search for a lead striker, with Bolton Wanderers (who have since landed Swedish international Johan Elmander) also one of the clubs linked with the skilful forward.

The news will come as a blow to Turkish Super League runners-up Fenerbahce, who had been certain that the player would sign a five-year contract to move to the ?ükrü Saraco?lu Stadium.
