Lampard: Granello claim
Agent Franco Granello has claimed that he will meet with Internazionale over the transfer of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
On Thursday, new Inter manager Jose Mourinho publicly declared his interest in signing Lampard and striker Didier Drogba, both of whom he coached during his time in charge of Chelsea.
The England midfielder’s future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of conjecture for some time as he enters the final year of his existing deal.
The Blues are keen to tie Lampard down on a fresh contract, but Italian agent Granello has claimed that he will represent Lampard when he holds talks with Serie A champions Inter in the next 10 days.
Claim
Lampard is normally represented by his agent Steve Kutner; however Granello’s claims have added further speculation to one of the transfer stories of the summer.
Granello told Tuttomercatoweb: “At the moment I’ve been on holiday for about a week.
“But it doesn’t seem to me that Lampard’s transfer has already been completed. I have a meeting with Inter in 10 days but for now I’m enjoying the rest.”
