Trezeguet: Going nowhere
Juventus have stated their intention to keep hold of striker David Trezeguet this summer.
The Frenchman’s agent had claimed that Barcelona were keen on taking his client to Spain, but Juve have refuted that suggestion.
Trezeguet has been with the Bianconeri since 2000 and was one of the high-profile stars to stay at the club following their demotion to Serie B in 2006.
A regular goal scorer at both domestic and international level, the Turin-based club’s director Jean Cluade Blanc has rubbished reports that they would allow the 30-year-old to leave.
Quality
“David will not be going anywhere,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
“We are always trying to improve the quality within our squad and it would be nonsense if we allowed him to leave.
“Should, as I think and hope, we are able to qualify for the group stages of the Champions Leagus next season, then we will need everyone available.”
