1. FC Nürnberg still have hope of avoiding relegation from the Bundesliga - despite losing 1-0 at Hertha BSC.
Brazilian Raffael (74) scored the game's only goal, his fourth of the season.
Positive run over
FCN - without the benched Zvejzdan Misimovic and Robert Vittek - failed to build on recent performances after four unbeaten matches.
The guests had the better start, with Marek Mintal (2) and Angelos Charisteas (6) going close, but created very little afterwards.
Hertha needed some time to get going. Gojko Kacar (33) shot narrowly wide before Raffael followed up with the next opportunity five minutes later.
Saenko unlucky
Ivan Saenko (65) had a decent chance to open the scoring for FCN, lobbing the ball over Hertha keeper Jaroslav Drobny, but defender Steven von Bergen came to Hertha's rescue.
Raffael scored the decisive goal with a fine individual effort nine minutes later - just seconds after Nuremberg's Tomas Galasek had hit the side-netting.
