Amauri-Juve deal almost done

Amauri to sign for Juve

Palermo have confirmed that the deal taking Amauri to Juventus is almost completed.

Juve have been leading the chase for the Brazilian-born striker - who in recent links was also said to be attracting interest form Milan and Roma, as well as a clutch of Premier League clubs.

But now the Turin giants are closing in on one of their top transfer targets,

“He will join the Bianconeri, that is 98 per cent,” said Palermo president Maurizio Zamparni.

“It’s almost done - we are very close to completing.

“It isn’t so much up to Palermo, but Juve must finalise things with the player.”

Juve had been expected to offer players in exchange, but one who will not be moving to Sicily is forward Raffaele Palladino.

“He doesn’t want to come to Palermo,” Zamparini revealed. “He’s a bit like everyone else who doesn’t know the place and its beauty.”
