Hertha BSC have secured their Bundesliga status with a 3-1 home win over Karlsruher SC.
Lucien Favre's team ended a run of eight games without a win.
Kacar breaks his duck
Gojko Kacar (25) with his first-ever Bundesliga goal, Marco Pantelic (31) with his twelfth of the season and Rudolf Skacel (87) late on scored for the team from the capital.
Edmond Kapllani (53) replied for KSC, who have won just one out of nine games.
Karlsruhe's last Bundesliga win in Berlin dates back to November 30, 1963.
Hajnal and Iashvili miss
KSC had started the more dangerous team, with Tamas Hajnal (13) and Alexander Iashvili (15) both missing absolute sitters.
Hertha's lead came out of the blue when KSC keeper Markus Miller handed Kacar the opener on a plate, dropping a cross into the area.
Pantelic made it two after a counter-attack involving Patrick Ebert, but KSC came back after the break.
Pressure doesn't tell
Kapllani had a simple tap-in from Iashvili's pin-point cross, but despite a lot of pressure KSC couldn't find an equaliser.
Skacel made sure of the win for Hertha when he followed up Raffael's shot against the post late on.
