MSV held in Bochum
MSV Duisburg have suffered a set-back in their battle against the drop.

A good performance at VfL Bochum was only enough for a point as Stanislav Sestak's twelfth goal of the season (84) rescued a point for the hosts.

Free-kick beauty

Claudiu Niculescu (26) had opened the scoring with a wonderful 25-metre free-kick that crashed in off the cross-bar.

It was the least MSV deserved after a very strong first-half performance.

Renno in inspired form

Niculescu (7, 9), Blagoy Georgiev (9, 11), Adam Bodzek (15), Tobias Willi (15) and Manasseh Ishiaku (39, 43) had brilliant opportunities, but VfL keeper Rene Renno kept his team in the game.

Bochum stepped up their game in the second half, with Joel Epalle (47), Sestak (68) and Marcin Mieciel (76) coming close.

MSV keeper Tom Starke made sure Duisburg's lead remained intact, but there was nothing he could do against Sestak's late header.
