Ten-man Energie stage spectacular comeback
Energie Cottbus have made a giant step towards safety.

Dimitar Rangelov’s goal in injury time handed Energie a 2-1 home win over FC Hansa Rostock. The hosts cemented their 14th place and are five points clear of Hansa and the drop zone now.

Cetkovic: first Bundesliga goal

Djordjije Cetkovic had put Rostock ahead with his first-ever Bundesliga after a quarter of an hour.

Energie were not impressed and Stanislav Angelov hit the cross-bar soon after, additionally Tobias Rathgeb cleared Vragel da Silva’s header off the line.

Mitreski sent off

But it looked as if the hosts were dead and buried when Igor Mitreski was sent for an early shower for two bookable offences three minutes before half-time.

Still the hosts gave everything they had, and they were unlucky again when Hansa’s Gledson headed against his own cross-bar just three minutes into the second half.

Rost equaliser

Rostock offered little, Sebastian Hähnge’s chance on the counter-attack (69) being a rare exception.

The hosts were rewarded ten minutes from time when Timo Rost equalised, and even with ten men they were full value for the winner Rangelov scored in the first minute of injury time.
