Inter coach Roberto Mancini has admitted that the club wants to sign Arsenal’s Alexander Hleb, as well as Udinese’s Gokhan Inler and Genoa’s Abdoulay Konko.
Inter have been heavily linked with Hleb in recent weeks, and there were reports last month that the player held secret talks with Nerazzurri officials prior to Arsenal’s Champions League game with Milan at San Siro.
This was later denied by Inter, however the speculation in Italy has been growing that Hleb is ready to quit the trophy-shy Gunners in favour of the Serie A champions.
“We’re following Alexander Hleb, Gokhan Inler, and Abdoulay Konko,” Mancini told the Corriere dello Sport.
Centre midfielder Inler only signed for Udinese from FC Zurich last summer but has been an absolute revelation at the Stadio Friuli.
Tactically excellent, and sound both defensively and offensively, he has been compared by some to none other than Inter’s own Esteban Cambiasso.
As for Konko, it has been common knowledge for quite sometime now that Inter are looking to sign the Frenchman, and it is believed to be only a matter of time until the deal is completed.
