Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could reportedly make a summer move for Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar.
According to various media reports, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been impressed with the form of 23-year-old Croatian international midfielder Niko Kranjcar this season, and could be planning a £15 million bid to add him to the Gunners’ squad.
The French tactician reportedly believes that Kranjcar could be the perfect complement to his midfield, especially if Alexander Hleb, a target for Inter Milan, leaves the Emirates.
However, Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp wants to hang on to the player, and insists he is staying at Fratton Park.
Krancjar has scored five goals in 38 appearances for Pompey so far this season.
Would a £15 million offer tempt Redknapp to sell?
“Hopefully we can keep hold of him,” Redknapp told The News.
“He’s happy here and we are playing great football. The European Championships are coming up and he’s got a Cup final to play.
“The club’s moving forwards, so everything is here for him.”
