Bielefeld let go Hain and Gabriel
DSC Arminia Bielefeld have announced they will not be extending the contracts of Petr Gabriel and Mathias Hain into next season.

Hain, the 35-year-old goalkeeper and captain, leaves the relegation-threatened club after almost eight years service.

“Optimally covered”

Bielefeld’s new sporting director Detlev Dammeier said with regard to Hain: “It wasn’t an easy decision for us to make. In the end we were convinced, however, that with Rowen Fernandez and Dennis Eilhoff, who’s coming back from Koblenz, we are optimally covered for the position, both on the pitch and in terms of age structure.”
