Hamburg SV suffered yet another bitter setback in their battle to qualify for the Champions League.
One week after falling 0-1 to the Bundesliga champions VfB Stuttgart, HSV extended their winless streak to four by losing to MSV Duisburg 0-1 (0-0). The loss was their first of the season at home.
MSV move out of last place
14 days after defeating Werder Bremen, MSV proved yet again that they are a dangerous opponent. The upset win was Duisburg’s fifth away win of the season and moves them out of last place in the table.
The sole goal of the match was scored by MSV captain Ivica Grlic in the 54th minute.
