Ronaldinho: In demand
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he is interested in signing Barcelona star Ronaldinho.
The Brazilian playmaker has endured a torrid season in Spain as his campaign has been disrupted by injury and a lack of form.
And Ronaldinho looks increasingly likely to leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season as the likes of Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City keep tabs on the situation.
Milan and Chelsea are known to be long-term admirers of 2004 and 2005 Fifa World Player of the Year.
Champion
And Ancelotti has now confirmed Milan, who are expected to overhaul their squad in the summer following their early exit from the UEFA Champions League and domestic shortcomings this season, are keen for the 28-year-old’s signature.
“Ronaldinho is a great player,” said Ancelotti. “Milan’s interest in him has been there for a long time.
“At this time he is a Barcelona player and the club is evaluating the development of this situation.
“He is a champion that interests several clubs.”
Ronaldinho could miss the rest of the Primera Liga season having been ruled out for six weeks with a thigh injury sustained on Thursday.
