Kaka: Thigh injury
Milan playmaker Kaka has ruled himself out of Brazil’s friendly against Sweden on Wednesday because of a thigh injury.
The 25-year-old pulled up during Milan’s 2-1 home defeat by Sampdoria in Serie A on Wednesday, ruling him out of the international game at the Emirates Stadium.
According to reports in Italy Kaka will be sidelined for at least 10 days but he insists he is determined to recover quickly.
“I definitely will not be able to play the friendly with my national team… I suffered a muscular problem and now we’ll see how much time is needed for me to be available again,” he told Milan’s in-house TV channel.
“I am working to return as quickly as possible with physiotherapy and a little swimming to avoid running and harder movements in order to give the muscle chance to rest.”
