In only being able to muster a draw, 1. FC Nürnberg failed to create separation from the relegation zone against VfL Bochum.

Against VfL Bochum, the equalising goal by Zvejzdan Misimovic (9th min.) was only good enough for a 1-1 (1-1) result for Nürnberg.

Striker Stanislav Sestak (5th min.) put VfL in the lead and ultimately secured a middle position in the table for his team.

Mintal misses winning goal

Bochum’s offensive play remained fangless for most of the match, while Nürnberg once again demonstrated their weaknesses in finishing. In the 87th minute, former scoring sensation Marek Mintal blew a chance to score the winning goal.
