Shevchenko: Milan link
Paolo Maldini and Massimo Ambrosini would be delighted to see Andrei Shevchenko return to Milan.
The Ukraine international striker has been consistently linked with a switch back to his former club after struggling to make an impact with Chelsea.
Avram Grant maintains that Shevchenko remains part of his plans, but Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has made no secret of his desire to bring the forward back to the San Siro.
Despite his Premier League woes after his departure for Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2006, Shevchenko remains a hugely-popular figure with the Italian giants.
The forward is the Rossoneri’s second highest scorer of all-time after netting 127 times in 208 games during his stint with the Serie A side.

And former team-mates Maldini and Ambrosini, speaking after their 3-1 victory at Empoli on Sunday, would welcome Shevchenko with open arms.
“At Milan there is always room for those who have done a lot,” explained Maldini.
“There is always space for those who have left a mark on the history of the club.”
Ambrosini added: “We cannot decide these things.
“I can only say that Sheva is a friend and that we will welcome him with enthusiasm if he were to leave London.”
