The dispute that erupted between Aaron Hunt and Diego after the second leg match against Glasgow is over. Werden Bremen say the temporary falling out has not had any negative effects on the team.
Diego regards reports about the incident to be completely overblown: “It was a discussion that comes up on every team after a loss. I can’t understand why it drew the attention it did.”
Hunt: “Already forgotten”
And Aaron Hunt echoed the sentiments: “There was a little difference of opinions that we’d already had on the pitch. But as far as I’m concerned the issue is over. We clarified the issue. Diego apologized. There aren’t any problems between me and Diego.”
Schaaf agrees with players ”
Like the players, head coach Thomas Schaaf thinks the story is best left forgotten. “Look, everybody knows that emotion is part of the game. We spoke with both the players and we’re now all looking ahead.”
